Rail-fan Pictures of the Kennebunk Depot

In 1872 the Boston and Maine Railroad (BM) deemed that it was feasible to let it's operating lease on the Portsmouth, Saco and Portland Railroad default to the Eastern Railroad at the end of 1873 and build its own line to Portland, ME. One of the stations built on that line was Kennebunk Station at 12 Depot St, Kennebunk, ME 04043, coordinates 43°22'57.9"N 70°31'46.1"W.

The station remained in service from 1873 to January 3, 1965, and was picked up and passed through local business uses until this day. The current businesses are Whitney Retirement Services Group, and Local Roots Health Care.
